Do you know anyone who can repair, identify, or appraise dolls?
Yes, we highly recommend doll expert Dorothy Meredith in nearby Seguin, Texas. Dorothy specializes in doll repair and restoration, especially that of antique and collectible dolls. She also attends many doll shows and has a vast wealth of knowledge about them, so we recommend contacting her when attempting to identify a doll, gather information about a doll, or determine a doll’s worth. Do you buy dolls, bears, plates, or other collectibles?
Unfortunately, we do not buy pre-owned dolls or dolls from individual sellers, and we are not familiar with any business that does. This also applies to bears, plates, dollhouses, miniatures, and other collectibles. However, Dorothy Meredith, the doll expert mentioned in the answer to the previous question, has been able to assist private owners in selling dolls, since she runs local doll shows and may know of buyers that could possibly be interested in the dolls you have.

Where can I sell my dolls?
We recommend finding a venue you are comfortable with, which could be any number of Internet markets, including eBay, Amazon, and various doll collecting sites, or marketplaces such as doll shows, auctions, and other sales venues. Again, Dorothy Meredith, our favorite nearby doll expert whose contact information is listed above, can also offer insight as to where to sell dolls.
How do I determine the value of my dolls?
This is a tough one, because there is no single answer. The value of a doll is determined by several factors, including its condition, manufacturer or artist, age, country of origin, rarity, and many others. To get a better idea of the worth, we recommend checking your local bookstore’s collectible section for guides that offer blue book values. You may also want to research the doll online to find what others are charging or paying for the same doll or ones that are similar. It’s important to note that the most influential factors in trying to sell your doll are simply demand and perceived worth. When it comes to your bottom line, the actual price you can get for a pre-owned doll will be determined by a combination of what its overall value is and what a buyer believes it is worth. Once again, Dorothy Meredith, the same nearby doll expert who does appraisals and whose contact information is listed above, may be able to give an idea of worth based on her knowledge and experience in the doll trade.

What are your shipping methods?
Within the U.S., we ship exclusively via UPS Ground. Outside the U.S., we ship exclusively via Express Mail, which ensures an international tracking number and international shipping insurance.

How do I know when my order will arrive?
Once we receive your order, we will process it within 2 business days. (We are closed Sundays, as well as certain major holidays, including Christmas and New Year’s Day.) As soon as your order is shipped, we will email you the tracking number, allowing you to follow the shipment from receipt to delivery on the appropriate carrier’s website.
What methods of payment do you accept?
Online, we accept payment by PayPal. Within the U.S., you can also make payment by credit card (Visa, MasterCard, and Discover only) over the phone by calling our toll-free number, 1-800-648-3655. We no longer accept payment by check.
Do you offer a layaway plan?
We no longer accept layaways or holds of any kind.
Do you take special orders?
We no longer take special orders, nor will we be restocking any of our inventory.

What is your return policy?
There will be no returns, exchanges, or refunds. Furthermore, since we are closing, all items are being sold AS IS. The clearance discount we are offering for our closing sale greatly exceeds any discount we have ever given on damaged merchandise or items without certificates or original boxes, so no orders will be eligible for a further discount based on any such conditions.
What if my item is damaged in transit?
For items damaged in the shipping process, we must be notified immediately (no later than 5 days) of the condition the doll was received in, and doll must be replaced in original packaging as received for inspection by parcel service. All shipments are insured for the full amount.
Can I see more pictures or get more information about a particular doll?
If you are interested in a particular doll that we have in stock and would like to see more photos, we are happy to take other pictures and e-mail them to you. Simply e-mail us at monarch@dollsdolls.com with the doll’s name and stock number. Please specify if there are any details you are especially curious to see, such as clothing, close-ups of the face, etc. Also, if you have questions about a doll, regarding information such as a limited edition number, certificate of authenticity, etc., you can e-mail or call us, and we will respond as soon as possible.
